About me
Kimberly Hawks is an eleven year veteran in teaching EL students as they take their WIDA test. With a total of fourteen years of teaching expertise, she loves helping students to perform at the best of their abilities. Kimberly currently teaches at Vernal Middle School as the 6th-8th grade English Language Development teacher and an 8th grade U.S. history teacher. She also serves as the history department chair in addition to different district leadership positions. In the past, she has presented at UCET, UELMA, URSA, and UMLA conferences. She was awarded the 2022 Uintah School District Teacher of the Year after earning the Vernal Middle School Teacher of the Year award for 2019 and 2021.
