About me
Stephan Seabury teaches various US history, government, and WWII courses at Providence Hall High School in Herriman Utah. Mr. Seabury believes a civically engaged teacher creates civically engaged students. He focuses on skills based learning that allows students of all abilities to succeed. His students learn and experience the content through interactive lessons, guest speakers, and trips to the Utah capitol or Topaz Japanese American Confinement Site. This has led to student scholarships, higher engagement, and a 100% AP government pass rate for the last four years. He holds a bachelors of science in social studies teaching from Utah State University and a Masters of Arts in Constitutional Government, Civics, and Law from Utah Valley University. He is the 2023 James Madison Fellows' Fellow and recipient of the George Washington Honor medal. Mr. Seabury is part of the leadership team of The Teacher Fellows and specifically works to create connections between teachers and policy makers across the state. He is also a Robertson Fellow working with UVU’s Constitutional Thought and Leadership Initiative creating civic education training across the state. Mr. Seabury is married to the lovely Jenni and they have three children, enjoying travel and raising guide dogs for the blind.
