About me
Wendy Rex Atzet earned her doctorate in U.S. History at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she also served for four years as a coordinator for the state National History Day program. She was thrilled to return to National History Day in 2013 when she took the helm of this program in Utah, as it was transitioned from Utah State University to the Utah Division of State History. She has over 15 years’ experience as an NHD state coordinator in Utah and Colorado. She serves on the National History Day (NHD) executive coordinator's council, the Draper Historic Preservation Commission, and is a past board member for the National Council for History Education (NCHE). Wendy is inspired by the students whose lives are changed as they are empowered in their learning, and discover the relevance of history to their own lives.
