About me
Shannon Neeley originally hails from Virginia. She and her family found the Rockies calling and relocated to Utah in 2019. There she shifted from training adults to return to college as a first generation student to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in April 2023. She taught a few years as an Elementary Resource teacher in Ogden School District and then relocated to Box Elder School District to teach 9th Grade Special Education Math. She has found her people with fellow secondary teachers and students who need equal parts love, high expectations, humor, and accountability. As a current Utah Teacher Fellows, she pursues advocacy opportunities for students with disabilities and their families. She subscribes to the belief that all students deserve access and students with disabilities need ample opportunities to succeed rather than just support not to fail.
