About me
Phillip Bertoch grew up in Duchesne County and graduated from Union High School in 1987. He is the product of rural schools and understands the unique challenges and opportunities that come from living in, and being educated in, a rural community. He is a thirty year career educator with fourteen years experience teaching in the high school setting in both Duchesne County School District and the Kingdom of Tonga. He has coached various sports throughout his career, including head football coach for five years at Union High School. Phillip has spent the last sixteen years as an administrator at the elementary, high school and district levels, including high school athletic director for five years. He is currently the director of Human Resources for Duchesne County School District. His eduction includes a Bachelors of Science, Biology Composite Secondary Eduction, from Utah State University; a Masters of Science in Biology from University of Nebraska at Kearney; and a School Administrative Endorsement from Southern Utah University. He is the husband of Doris Bertoch (thirty five years of marriage), the father of five children and grandfather of four amazing grandchildren.
