About me
Maggie Parnell Grindstaff is a mentor teacher and instructional leader with more than 15 years of experience across elementary, middle, and secondary education. She specializes in science, bilingual education (English/Spanish), gifted and inclusive instruction, and teacher mentorship. Currently an eighth-grade science teacher at Ephraim Middle School in Utah, Maggie designs standards-aligned, culturally responsive curriculum that consistently improves student outcomes, including above-average state science scores and increased achievement for multilingual learners.Maggie has held leadership roles in curriculum development, professional learning, and federal programs, including serving as a Title I Coordinator and mentoring new teachers. Her work has contributed to national recognition for school excellence, including National Blue Ribbon and National Title I Distinguished School honors. She is a frequent presenter at state and regional conferences and has secured numerous grants supporting STEM innovation and rural education.Beyond the classroom, Maggie collaborates on state and national education initiatives, including NSF-funded curriculum design, AI-focused science instruction, and state assessment development. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and multiple teaching licenses and endorsements, including science, ESL, Spanish, and educational technology. Maggie is deeply committed to equity, access, and empowering both students and educators through high-quality instruction and collaboration.
