About me
Liz Brown is a BTS Art Integration Coach for NUES. She was the 2025 Utah Art Educator of the Year for the National Art Education Association and the 2024 Art Educator of the Year for the Utah Art Education Association. She is passionate about arts integration and children getting the opportunity to create. She has worked in education for more than 20 years, as an elementary classroom teacher, with experience in kindergarten through 6th grade classrooms. She has been an ESL specialist, a Math Specialist, an Interventionist, a Reading Specialist and spent 8 years as a visual art specialist with the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program. While in the classroom she participated in the Art Leadership Program and for 2 years with the Arts Bridge Program with BYU. She serves on the BYU Arts Leadership team, as well as a mentor for new visual art teachers in the BYU region. She has served on the Utah Art Educators Association Board for more than 10 years.
