Kody Colvin is a Lead School and District Improvement Specialist with the Utah Education Policy Center, where he partners with schools and systems to strengthen instructional leadership, professional learning, and continuous improvement efforts. With over 15 years of experience in public education as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal, Kody brings a deep understanding of the complexities of leading change in schools. He also serves as an adjunct professor, where he supports graduate students in developing their knowledge and practice in educational leadership and school improvement.His work focuses on helping educators translate research into practice by designing meaningful, job-embedded professional learning that improves teaching and learning. He collaborates with school and district leaders across Utah to support instructional clarity, data informed decision making, and the development of teacher leadership as a driver of sustainable improvement.Kody has led and supported statewide initiatives, including leadership networks and professional learning partnerships, and is actively engaged in research and publication focused on leadership, professional learning, and system-wide improvement.
