About me
Jennie's commitment to education is showcased by her 7 ½ years of service on the State Board of Education two of those years were spent serving in a vice chair position. Throughout her tenure, she has been an integral part of numerous committees and initiatives. Her roles have included membership in the Standards and Assessment Committee, the Assessment and Accountability Policy Advisory Committee, the School Safety Coalition, the Law and Licensing Committee, and the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind Committee. She has also contributed significantly to the ongoing effort to update Utah’s math standards through rigorous research, current practice review, and classroom visits across the state. In addition to her board responsibilities, Jennie is a middle school mathematics teacher at a private school in Ogden. She holds a master’s degree in education with a focus on mathematics and special education. Her daily interactions with students are the highlight of her day, reflecting her deep passion for teaching and learning. Jennie’s career is distinguished by her commitment to finding innovative solutions to complex educational challenges and her dedication to improving student outcomes.
