About me
As a NUES Region PreK-12 Instructional Coach, I am dedicated to the art of continuous learning and professional growth. I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in ESL & ESOL. My professional credentials include endorsements in Reading, Coaching, MLL, and LETRS, and I am currently completing my 7th-12th Grade ELA Endorsement. In addition to my regional coaching role, I serve as a Clinical Supervisor for WGU, an Adjunct Professor at SUU, and Treasurer of The Reading League Utah. My specialized facilitation include: LETRS Early Childhood Facilitator, Keys to Literacy Facilitator (Early Writing K-2 & Content Writing 3-12), and Acadience Reading & Math Mentor. My foundational classroom experience spans Preschool (English and Spanish), Kindergarten and First Grade Dual Immersion (English), and Summer School Second Grade Intervention. This transitioned into an extensive career in instructional coaching, where I have served as an Elementary School Coach—focusing on Literacy, Assessment, Title 1, RTI, and MTSS as well as three years as the NUES Region Early Learning Coach for PreK-3. While my roots are in early childhood and elementary education, I am deeply passionate about expanding my impact into the secondary level. I have found great joy in collaborating with secondary administrators, coaches, and teachers through various initiatives, including: Facilitating Lexia Aspire, Keys to Adolescent Literacy, Writing Revolution, Story Champs language intervention trainings, teaching instructional coaching courses and Dr. Anita Archer’s Explicit Instruction training. Outside of my professional life, I am an avid learner who loves challenging myself. My husband and I live in Heber City with our three dogs and are the proud parents of four adult children ages 18-22. Our oldest daughter is a social worker with a minor in criminal justice who is currently teaching first grade, while our second daughter works as a CNA/EMT at Primary Children’s as she prepares for nursing school. Our son is currently in California playing college baseball, and our youngest daughter recently graduated from high school and will be attending cosmetology school this fall. To recharge, I enjoy traveling with my family, attending sporting events, reading, and spending as much time as possible soaking up the sun.
