Halee Ficklin is a Mental Health Therapist (ACMHC) and District Wellness Advisor for Duchesne County School District in rural Utah. She leads district-wide efforts aligned with the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model, focusing on improving student mental health, physical wellness, and overall well-being.Through a CDC-funded HEAL grant partnership, Halee has helped establish school health teams across all schools in the district, implemented the School Health Index, and supported the development of sustainable wellness action plans tailored to each school’s unique needs. Her work emphasizes relationship-building, community collaboration, and translating health initiatives into meaningful outcomes tied to academic success.Halee is passionate about supporting rural communities and understands the unique challenges they face, including limited resources, geographic barriers, and workforce constraints. She is known for her ability to connect stakeholders, build trust, and create systems that are both practical and sustainable.In addition to her district work, Halee is a mother, community leader, and advocate mental health and family wellness. She is committed to helping schools create environments where students and staff can thrive.
